GeorgetteGeorgette Baker is a certified teacher, speaker of 5 languages and world-traveling performer. Producer of the children’s bilingual book and cassette series CANTEMOS, Georgette has been performing for children exclusively for the past 15 years. Her abounding enthusiasm for her unusual artifacts and creatures, which she shares in her assemblies, she enlivens the stage with her “cuatro”, a Venezuelan stringed instrument, and the Latin rhythms of her guitar, her contagious laughter and her exaggerated storytelling techniques.

Born on the island of Aruba and raised in Venezuela, Georgette received a teaching credential from Washington University. Abandoning teaching for performing Georgette was an on-camera TV reporter for YOU ASKED FOR IT starring Rich Little and a news reporter for Channel 52 Los Angeles, starring in numerous commercials and television shows. In addition to performing Georgette established her own company and produces a line of children's BILINGUAL books and music. 

School assemblies and library performances in Spanish, English or speckled with French, Italian and Greek are Georgette's passion today.
